“I didn't become a health coach because I have all the answers —

—I arrived here because of my ongoing curiosity about what living well means for me.”

I found my way to health coaching after a decade in Italy, years teaching Pilates & barre, an anthropology degree, a mastectomy, 3 rounds of Weight Watchers, & a genuine fascination about why we make the choices we do regarding our health.

My own wellness journey is ongoing & anything but linear — and that's exactly why I know there's no single "right" way to do yours.

What works for your neighbor, sister, or that person on Instagram might do absolutely nothing for you — & that's completely fine.

After 10 years living overseas — and traveling through places with wildly different ideas of what "healthy living" means — I can tell you with confidence: there is no single right path.

I can also tell you that the qualifications & approaches of health coaches varies widely. I will complete my National Board of Health & Wellness Coaches board certification in December 2026. I am committed to following the highest standards of research based & science informed coaching practices & to pursuing continuing education & specializations.

  • I believe health should support your life — not become your full-time job.

We’re constantly flooded with wellness advice, quick fixes, & conflicting information, leaving many people overwhelmed & disconnected from their bodies.

    That’s not my approach.

I believe in evidence-based information, realistic habits, a & wellness that feels supportive, sustainable, & grounded in real life — not perfectionism, extremes, or guilt disguised as motivation.

No shame. No extremes. No perfect path required.

  • My work blends science, curiosity, & practicality.

With a background in anthropology, I’m fascinated by the ways culture shapes how we think about food, movement, aging, & our bodies. I’m always asking: Is this actually evidence-based, or is it something we’ve simply fallen into along the way?

As a coach, my role is to help people cut through the noise & find what works for them — without fear-based messaging, rigid rules, or wellness snobbery.

I focus on realistic, flexible habits that support long-term well-being & create spaces — through workshops, retreats, & community — that feel more like exploration than lectures.

  • I spent 10 years living in Italy, teaching Pilates & barre while learning firsthand how deeply culture shapes our relationship with health.

Watching families linger over meals, walk daily, & celebrate simply changed the way I think about wellness. It taught me that health doesn’t have to be complicated to matter.

My own wellness journey has also been beautifully imperfect — from dieting culture & gestational diabetes to surgeries, hormone therapy, & the ongoing reality of navigating health in real life.

That experience shapes the way I coach: with honesty, compassion, & a lot of grace.

Today, I live in Alexandria, VA with my husband, our two daughters, dog, cat & a revolving door of foster pets. My happiest places are deep in the Dolomites after a long backpacking day or hosting a Puppies & Pilates fundraiser in my community.

“All movement is

good movement.

Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.”

“I believe that knowledge is one of the most powerful tools you have. Not knowledge handed down from a fad diet or a trending app, but real, evidence-based information that helps you make choices that actually fit your life.”
