Terms and Conditions of Participation in Mom Summer Camp

1. The Agreement

By registering for the Mom Summer Camp (the “Retreat”), you (“Participant”) agree to these Terms and Conditions with Laura Miller Health and Wellness, LLC and LuckyBucky, LLC  (collectively, the “Hosts”).

2. Professional Disclaimer

No Patient-Provider Relationship: Participant understands that Kiya Thompson, LuckyBucky, LLC is a Registered Nurse; however, she is serving as a Travel and Burnout Coach for this Retreat. She is not acting in a clinical nursing capacity. No medical diagnosis, treatment, or nursing care will be provided.

Educational Nature: Workshops and coaching sessions are for educational and wellness purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, mental health counseling, or therapy. Participants are encouraged to consult their own physicians regarding any health concerns.

3. Payment and Cancellation Policy

  • Mom Summer Camp Payment & Refund Policy

    Reservations & Deposits To secure your sanctuary at Mom Summer Camp, a non-refundable deposit of $200 is required at the time of booking.

    Balance Due Dates To keep your reservation active, the remaining balance must be paid in full by the following dates:

    • May Session: On or before April 15, 2026. (Session cancelled)

    • June Session: On or before May 12, 2026.

    • Failure to pay the balance by 11:59pm on these dates will result in the automatic cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of your $200 deposit.

    Cancellation & Refunds We understand that life happens. If you must cancel your attendance after paying in full, partial refunds are available as follows:

    • May Session: Cancel by April 30, 2026, to receive a refund of your total payment minus the $200 deposit. (Session cancelled)

    • June Session: Cancel by May 30, 2026, to receive a refund of your total payment minus the $200 deposit.

    The Fine Print

    • Notification: All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the organizers at momsummercamp@gmail.com.

    • Deadlines: After the dates listed above (April 30, 2026/May 30, 2026), all payments are strictly non-refundable. No-shows or early departures from the retreat will not be eligible for a refund.

    • Transfer Option: If you are outside of the refund window, you may transfer your "ticket" to another person, provided you notify us of the name and contact information for the new attendee at least 72 hours prior to the retreat start date.

  • Travel Insurance: We recommend that Participants purchase "Cancel for Any Reason" travel insurance to protect their investment in the event of personal emergencies or illness.

4. Assumption of Risk & Physical Ability

The Retreat takes place in a natural "eco-retreat" setting. By attending Mom Summer Camp, you acknowledge and agree that participation in event activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, disability, property damage, or death. You voluntarily assume all risks and agree to release, waive, and discharge Laura Miller Health and Wellness, LLC and LuckyBucky, LLC, their employees, affiliates, vendors, and sponsors from any liability, claims, or demands arising out of or related to your participation.

You further acknowledge that you are responsible for assessing your own fitness, health level, and ability to participate in activities, and that Laura Miller Health and Wellness, LLC and LuckyBucky, LLC do not provide medical supervision or guarantee the safety of any activity.

  • Nature Risks: Participant acknowledges the inherent risks of an outdoor environment, including but not limited to: uneven terrain, insects/wildlife, poisonous plants, weather fluctuations, and shared "glamping" accommodations (tents/yurts).

  • Activities: Participant assumes all risk associated with yoga, Pilates, hiking, and water activities (Float Trips). Participation is voluntary, and Participants are responsible for knowing and adhering to their own physical limitations.

  • Water Activities: If participating in a float trip, Participant affirms they can swim or will wear a Coast Guard-approved life jacket at all times.

5. Alcohol and Conduct

While the Retreat alcohol may be present, Participants are expected to consume responsibly. The Hosts reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to remove any Participant from the Retreat (without refund) whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or violates the "community spirit" of the event.

6. Drug-Free and Smoke Free Policy

Mom Summer Camp is a drug-free and smoke-free event. The use, possession, or distribution of illegal drugs, marijuana (including THC products), and tobacco products (including cigarettes, vapes, and e-cigarettes) is strictly prohibited at all event locations, including lodging, shared spaces, and outdoor areas. Please note that THC products, including edibles and vapes, are illegal in the state of West Virginia and are not permitted at this event. Violation of this policy may result in removal from the event without a refund.

7. Personal Property and Liability

Mom Summer Camp, Laura Miller Health and Wellness, LLC, and LuckyBucky, LLC are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings. Attendees assume full responsibility for securing their items and acknowledge that bringing valuables to the event is at their own risk.

8. Media Release

Participant grants the Hosts the irrevocable right to use photographs and video taken during the Retreat for marketing and promotional purposes (website, social media, etc.) without further compensation. If you wish to opt out of appearing in marketing materials, you must notify the Hosts in writing prior to arrival.

9. Force Majeure

If the Retreat is cancelled due to an "Act of God" (fire, flood, extreme weather, pandemic-related government shutdowns), the Hosts will attempt to reschedule the event. Payments will be applied to the new date, but cash refunds will not be issued.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Alexandria City, Virginia.

11. Agreement & Acknowledgment

By purchasing a ticket and attending Mom Summer Camp, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in their entirety.

Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Health and dietary information is shared with the venue’s kitchen staff only on a "need-to-know" basis to ensure your safety.

However, we may share your data with:

  • Payment Processors (e.g. Link by Stripe, PayPal): to secretly process transactions

  • Email Service Providers (e.g. Google): for event communications and marketing (if opted in).

  • Analytics Providers (e.g. Google Analytics): to improve our website experience.

These third parties have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

4. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

  • Request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data.

  • Opt-out of marketing emails by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any email.

  • Manage cookie settings through your browser.

5. Security & Retention
